Travel to the Darkmoon Faire

Travel to the Darkmoon Faire island is only possible during the week long monthly Darkmoon Faire, check your minimap calendar for dates.

The fastest travel method to get to the Darkmoon Faire is via the Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mage network conveniently located in major capital cities.

Darkmoon Faire travel

Staging areas for the Darkmoon Faire are found monthly in Goldshire (for Alliance) and near Thunderbluff (for Horde).

During the faire the Darkmoon Mage will be standing in front of the Darkmoon Banner and will teleport you to the Darkmoon staging areas in (Goldshire for Alliance) and (near Thunderbuff for Horde) for a nominal fee that scales for your level (only 25 copper to 30 silver at level 80).

Alliance Capital Cities Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mage location:

Darnassus: West of the Temple Gardens (38,50)
Exodar: just outside the Bank
Ironforge: The Commons Southeast of the Auction House entrance (27,73)
Stormwind City: Trade District by the Auction House (62,73) & Dwarven Auction House (62,32)

Horde Capital Cities Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mage location:

Orgrimmar: Down the boardwalk adjacent to the Flight Master (48,62)
Silvermoon: City entrance Near the Walk of Elders (80,67)
Thunder Bluff: Near the central totem tower on the first level (43,52)
Undercity: Just Southwest of city center (62,47)

Neutral Cities Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mage location:

Dalaran: City Center south portion of Runeweaver Square (50,50)
Shattrath: Northeast of the Terrace of Light by Bank of Aldor (51,29)

It is highly recommended to pick up the Darkmoon Quest from one of the Darkmoon Faire Mystic Mages as soon as possible in your adventuring career, because completing the quest will give you five Darkmoon Prize Tickets and access to the Darkmoon Adventurer’s Guide, which will trigger extra booty to appear while attacking the various creatures and beasties throughout Azeroth.
