NBA 2K11 will no doubt make many top ten game list for the year

Does any modern NBA player come close to the talent and legacy of Michael Jordon? This game isn’t just for fans of basketball or Michael Jordon but for all sports fans that play games. It would not surprise us at GameMaster if NBA 2K11 made several top ten game lists for the year.

Visual Concepts attempts to answer that question when several great players of the past (including Dr J of course) try to topple Kobe Bryant as the current unquestioned best player in the league.

The NBA 2K11 basketball series tries to answer the “who really is the best” question with the Jordon Challenge, which takes players through and gives them the opportunity to replay ten of Michael Jordon’s most legendary performances.

The new mode features signature style animations for all the players involved and does an excellent job or recreating the look and feel of the original TV broadcasts from the 80′s and 90′s.

NBA 2K11 is a quite the improvement and plays much smoother over the NBA 2K10 version. Visual Concepts has added new player models and improved the player animations. There are also major enhancements for The Association and My Player online modes. This version of the game also has an improved dribbling controls, and adds more flexibility for players to get off their shots in addition to better passing when playing with great point guards in the game.

Jordon brings disappointment to the Cleveland Cavaliers by scoring 69 points, while shooting 50% from the field winning the game for the Chicago Bulls.

1991 NBA Finals
Players get to help earn Michael Jordon’s first ring by beating the Lakers and Magic Johnson.

The Flu Game
Michael Jordon goes head to head with flu and the Utah Jazz, players have the goal of scoring 38 points and grabbing nine rebounds to win the game.

NBA 2K11 is published by 2K sports and can be played with 1-4 players or up to 10 while playing online.
